Court Heraldry
Court Heralds are the formal voice of the royalty and landed nobility. They call people into court, announce the leaders’ edicts and whims, and read official documents to the audience.

Tournament or List Heraldry
Tournament Heralds (also called List Heralds) act as masters of ceremonies for martial competitions. They summon the contestants of each bout, announce them to the audience, and proclaim the winners.

Event Heraldry and Camp Cries
Event Heralds broadcast information at an event by circulating throughout the site and loudly reciting announcements, sometimes called “crying the camp”.
